Introduction:

Ever since Logitech was founded in 1981, it has created new innovative technologies. It introduced the first infrared cordless mouse in 1984 and the first cordless radio mouse in 1991. Moreover, Logitech introduced the first optical cordless mouse in 2001 and the new Fast RF technology in 2002. In 2004, the first laser tracking mouse was invented. The MX optical engine was an intelligent invention that made the MX series mice a legend. From the first MX mouse, MX 300 to the last optical MX mouse, MX 900, where the mice sold millions. The MX 1000 introduced a new technology that surpasses it predecessors. The laser functions on more surfaces and is twenty times more accurate than optical mice.

Logitech has once again created a masterpiece. The combination of the MX 1000 and the keyboard that was introduced in the LX 700 keyboard/mouse combination created a must have product for any computer user. The uncanny style of the keyboard and mouse matches with similar colors and exceptional design. The mouse introduces new technologies that include a laser and a tilt wheel. The keyboard, furthermore, has the Ultra zero degree tilt that can prevent a disease called Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS), which can be caused by repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movement. According to the Department of Health, Human Services Center for Disease Control, Prevention (CDC) and study by Jill Shelly of Kansas State University, "CTS is the compression and entrapment of the median nerve where it passes through the wrist into the hand. When irritated, tendons swell and press against the nearby median nerve. The pressure causes tingling, numbness or severe pain in the wrist, and hand, primarily in the thumb, index and middle finger. The pain is often experienced at night. The pressure also results in a lack of strength in the hand and an inability to make a fist, hold objects or perform other manual tasks. If the pressure continues it can damage the nerve, causing loss of sensation and even decreased strength." Additionally, Jill has stated "Prevention includes appropriate exercises, proper positioning of the wrist and hand, avoiding repetitive movements, and avoiding use of excessive force using the hands." The LX series new low profile flat design ensures that a user will have less wrist extension, and help to keep the users hand in a more rigid straight line creating more comfort and less chance of injury.
