Introduction:
The
Apex AL-B500E ATX 12V 500W Switching Power Supply is a unique and power saving
power supply. It uses Active PFC that makes it capable of harnessing universal
free input and creating efficiency up to 75%. This power supply also features
Smart and Silent fan control that extends the life of the PSU fan and reduces
the amount of noise released. It has aluminum casing for fast heat dissipation
and it is ideal for Intel and AMD based systems. The power supply looks robust
and durable and the manufacturer guarantees 50,000 work hours.

Other features on the back of the power supply include the 110/220V power
connection with switch and an illuminated power switch (shown in detail on the
left). This is a nice touch over the standard black switch, because when in the
ON position, the switch glows green, giving you the status of the power supply
at a glance. Greater detail is also provided of the “small” fan speed control
knob, which may make manipulation difficult for those that do not
have small fingers.
