Microsoft® Streets & Trips 2006 with GPS Locator
is the backseat driver consumers will be glad
to have in their car. It is like a trusted friend who
knows the road ahead. Whether running errands
around town or preparing for or taking a family on a
road trip. This new version of mapping and
trip planning software from Microsoft
reassures travelers they will know where they’re
going and what to expect along the way.
Streets & Trips 2006 with GPS Locator gives
consumers more features than typical
online mapping services, so they can plan
personalized trips according to their individual
travel style and interests. With new Voice Prompted Directions combined with a sleek and stylish USB-ready GPS device
with powerful
advanced GPS features, customizable routes and highly detailed maps, Microsoft Streets
& Trips 2006 with GPS Locator provides an easy way to plan the perfect trip and travel
with complete confidence.

With new Voice-Prompted Directions, everyone in the car can enjoy the scenery by
simply turning on the option for verbal driving guidance. Streets & Trips 2006 with GPS
Locator goes far beyond guiding travelers to their destinations — it allows them to get
their trip their way from start to finish. And if they get lost without their GPS Locator,
Microsoft Streets & Trips 2006 will help them track down where they are with the new
locator technology to help determine where they are based on a Wi-Fi tracing system.
Voice-Prompted Directions
someone in the car feeling left out? The new Voice-Prompted Directions provide the
option for verbal driving guidance, an easy-to-use hands-free option that delivers turnby-
turn directional information to the desired destination. If the driver misses a
turn, the consumer can recalculate and hear Voice-Prompted Directions in one click or repeat the
most recent voice command. Now everyone in the car can enjoy the view!

Driving Guidance Pane
With a quick glance, everyone in the car can see where the next turn is with this easy-to read
display. The pane includes text-prompted turn-by-turn directions, enlarged arrows
indicating where to turn, and distance measurement by miles and yards as driver
becomes more closer
to their destination.
GPS Pane includes the new Dynamic Turn View
Maps which aren’t always easy to follow. Microsoft Streets & Trips 2006 with GPS Locator’s new Dynamic Turn View feature
automatically zooms into the current position, allowing to see upcoming directional
changes. In addition, the GPS Trail is now easier to view — it is color-coded based on how close
the travelers are to their next
destination, and it features an easy-to-see arrow, so travelers always know what direction they are on the map.

Reroute From Here
Take a wrong turn? The enhanced Reroute from
Here feature now automatically alerts travelers if
they are off route and recalculates their route
with just one click. The system will then provide
updated driving directions from their current
position to virtually any other destination, giving
them the flexibility to respond to road conditions
or schedule changes on route.

Night Map Style
There’s no need to flip on the car’s overhead light
with Night Map Style. This new feature enhances
views of maps and directions while driving at
night or on darkened roadways. With Streets &
Trips 2006 with GPS Locator, consumers can easily
follow the map, day or night.

nearby points of interest. Consumers can also go online to cross-reference MSN® Virtual Earth™ for greater trip planning
through additional maps and aerial imagery.
