Design & Special Features

May 1st, 2005 6:50 pm - Doc | [ Bottom ]

Design

Design:

The mouse is fairly small, and has a shiny top cover. The top has a white clickable scroll and two side buttons. The cover can be removed by moving a switch on the bottom of the mouse. Once the cover is unlocked, it is easily removed and two AAA batteries can be positioned inside. The mouse, furthermore, has a on and off switch to conserve battery power when it is not in use. It has a connect button, power switch and an optical sensor on the bottom as well. The top cover is susceptible to finger prints and scratches, that is why the pouch should be always be used when transporting the mouse. The pouch can lead to avoiding mouse scratches and other types of damage.

On the right side of the mouse, an adapter cable can be connected to the mouse that allows a separate power supply. The other end of the cable connects to either a notebook or a PC via USB. This feature is especially handy if there are no extra batteries around.

Special Features:

Reversible button function:

This feature makes it extremely easy to switch to a left hand or to a right hand use. The two front buttons have to be held for approximately three seconds and the left and right button use are switched.

Spare USB power supply:

As mentioned before, this allows the mouse to work when there are no batteries around.
