Similar
to all Microsoft products, installation goes through a standard routine.
The
Introductory splash screen is shown above.
During
the installation, users will be given two choices; typical and full installation.
By default, typical installation is selected (and recommended) for which templates
and sample images are not included. The common issue with a majority of Microsoft
products is that installations tend to be extremely large. Typical installation
combats this by including only
files that are necessary for the program to run. Any additional materials (clip
art, sample photos) will be accessed from the installation disc. With the full installation
option,
users can install additional materials onto their hard drives and can access
it without the use of the installation disc.
The
installation process lasts up to 20 minutes (depending on the speed of the PC).
Users are not required to restart the computer.
