Choosing installation methods

During the installation, you will be given three choices; Express Full (Recommended), Express Typical and Custom (advanced) installation. By the default, Express Full installation is selected. The installation process lasts around 30-45 minutes and the complete Microsoft Works 2005 comes on five installation discs.

The installer, when run for the first time will scan your hard disc for Microsoft Word, Money, Streets & Trips, Encarta Works and Picture It!. If any of these programs are found, the installer will determines their version and if it is the current one, particular program will be excluded from the installation routine.
